I began my insurance career in 1987 with Crum and Forster Personal Insurance, after graduating from Wake Forest University with a BA in Economics. I found insurance fascinating and enjoyable from the start. Moving onto Bankers and Shippers Insurance in Burlington, I managed a customer service department, and then moved into product management developing personal automobile insurance products. I also earned my CPCU (Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter) designation during this time.
In 1995, I left the company for a position with Professional Insurance Consultants, discovering my niche in the independent agency world. I love working with clients to ensure they have all the tools, information and products to meet their insurance needs and make sound financial decisions. This passion led me to purchase the agency in 2008. It was a natural transition and I have never looked back. We re-branded to Encore Insurance Advisors in 2012, and moved to our current location in 2016. I am married, with two grown sons and love everything outside, including golf, gardening, skiing, hiking and more. I also serve on the board of the Independent Insurance Agents of NC.
